Back in early 1980’s during CSA investigation, they had me use “Haute Tension” for French translation for “high voltage”. Unless I am mistaken on the Group & National differences, IEC 61010-1 does not mention anything specific on allowing this alternative language. I also want to know if ‘High tension’ would be a problem in the USA and Canada during a Field evaluation or NRTL certification? (I only ask to avoid having 2 labels/wording on a global product) Thanks for sharing any experiences you had.
