Client has a piece of industrial monitoring equipment that it typically solar
powered with internal battery
As a back-up they want to add an external power supply to charge the battery

The monitoring equipment has RS485 and similar serial interfaces, which I
understand need to be considered as IEC 60950-1 SELV or IEC 62368-1 ES1 circuits
Do the clearance/creepage construction requirements of IEC 62477-1 / -7 meet
those requirements?

Best regards
Charlie
