Thanks Andreas,

We have got the same impression that a certificate IEC 60086-4, is now
required, which it wasn’t under 60950

Even an UL approval UL60086-4 wasn’t good enough according to our local test
& cert. body.

Best regards Amund

Hello Amund,

During a recent test (IECEE CB Scheme) for a product containing a CR2032, a
certificate to IEC 60086-4 was required for the 62368 standards (but not for
60950)

Andreas

Subject: [PSES] IEC/EN62368-1 - coin cell batteries inside product

Anyone who have been through an IEC/EN62368-1 test process at an accredited
lab ? … and if your product had coin cell batteries (IEC60086-4), what kind
of documentation was needed for showing compliance for the batteries?

Manufacturer datasheet or a certificate according to IEC60086-4?

Thanx!

BR Amund
