Yes, definitely.  You need to reduce the acceleration settings in the 
ini file, and increase the following error
limits.  Then, you need to plot the follwing error using halscope while 
you gradually increase the commanded
velocity and acceleration.  When you see the following error in halscope 
show significantly, then you need to
adjust the P, I and D parameters using the settings/calibration menu in 
the TkEmc GUI or machine/calibration
in the Axis GUI.  By proper adjustment of these settings, you should be 
able to reduce the error at some specific
speed/acceleration.  You can keep working up in speed and velocity and 
improving accuracy until you reach the
performance you desire, or the limits of the servo drive.
