Hey Sebastien,

I tried several applications to convert dxf files to gcode but was
unimpressed, after several days of testing different apps I decided to
write my own application.

The Parsing of dxf and creating g-code is easy, the hard part is
optimizing the toolpaths for speed and other parameters.

The application is written in python and uses vpython for
visualization.

The work isn't yet at a point where I am comfortable in sharing it with
normal users but if you are interested I can send you a copy later
today, naturally the work is all released under GPL.

As a side note some of the functionality could be merged into Axis at a
later stage if there is interest.
