emc 2.1 (and maybe emc 2.0, I'm not sure) will use any linux-detected
joystick. Refer to the "hal_joystick" manpage for more details.

typing 'man hal_joystic' at the shell prompt)
You can tell if your joystick is detected by looking for the file
/dev/input/js0
If it's not there, then linux doesn't detect it. For information on
getting linux to detect a joystick, see joystick.txt. An online copy is
