Greetings.
I have been modifing classicladder- I wanted to fix a couple bugs and add a feature.
I am VERY new to c programming ( read that learning by doing) so I really want to compile and link often to check what I have done. Is there a way to just compile/link classicladder while leaving the rest of emc alone so I can trial more often? I am using 2.1-branch at the moment.
I am curentlu using Anjuta (prev. a text editor) to edit the code-save- then compile as recomended on the wikki.
Another question that I was wondering about ...I changed CL to be able to input signed integers (s32) thru HAL pins. It was quite easy! Thanks for the great documentaion in the source code of HAL JMK. The hal pins map on to some of the %W Variables. This would make it incompatible for existing ladder programs that use %W variables. The question is does anyone use them yet?
The reason I wanted this feature was that it would be alot easier to send tool numbers directly to classicladder then to have to decode bit line inside classicladder. My lathe has 10 tool position on two turrets- you should see the number of relays to decode that!
I could hard code a number of the variable to s32 pins very easily or I am sure I could come up with a different variable letter but that involves a lot more work ( and a steep learning curve)
oviously I am hopimg the changes will be up to your standards and useful so as to be incorparated into emc. Any use in float pins into classic ladder? Thoughts?
