Sure, this is an analog servo machine, to accomodate the 
polarity of the motor wiring it could be either way.

This seems almost pathological, units can't be negative.  "I 
need a minus one inch length of bar stock, please."  This is on 
the 2nd axis, so it shouldn't affect the X axis, but it sure 
seems that it is wrong.

I could send you an EPROM for the PWM controller if you want, 
the stepper hasn't been fully updated yet until I find out what 
is going on, here.  None of this makes sense unless you have an 
encoder with index pulse, so few stepper controller users will 
run into this trouble.
