Sure.  Because the velocity feedback granularity would be (inversely)
proportional to the encoder resolution, you'd want the highest res
encoder possible.  Or, you could run this pid in a slower thread so
you get more counts per cycle.

Might be a little challenging to tune this loop, but would be an
interesting experiment.  Report back when you try it please!
