Dear Alex: I have tried your suggestion. But after compiling (--enable-run-in-place) emc2.1.6, in the directory "emc2/bin/" there is no executable file "halscope" or "halmeter"
after I copied the old version "halscope" and "halmeter" into the directory "emc2/bin" I can launch them. I don't know where is the new halscope and halmeter which are from emc2.1.6? thanks Xuecheng > Hi Xuecheng, > > when you get a version mismatch it's basicly telling you you're running the > wrong hal(scope, meter). > > You have an installed emc2 (the one with the lower magic number), and a > run-in-pace version of emc2. > > When you run the installed emc2 (e.g. from the menu), you also need to run > the installed halscope or halmeter: > > simply type 'halscope' or '/usr/bin/halscope' > > When you run the local run-in-place version, then you need to run the > appropiate halscope: > > cd /home/user/emc2-trunk/ > scripts/emc & > bin/halscope > > You can't mix&match the two of them. > > Regards, > Alex > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
