Hi Jeff
First, before I go into suggestions, I want you to hear me say, "This is great stuff!" This is the first time that an over-arching configurator has made it into a release. I've been playing around with configurators from before the code repository made it off Will's "spinnerfen" workstation. There are really good things here. The computations are meaningful and the final product gets to the job without the user having to be able to read and write either INI or HAL. Not only that, but it offers a first glimpse of what a kind of standard, configurator produced INI and HAL file might come to look like. That said, I'd like to see it run a jitter program rather than assume that we even know what jitter is. We ought to compile that module, run it when wizard starts or have a button there that runs it, reports min and max after a couple minute test, and enters a proposed value. We ought to have a button at the bottom of the first axis page that says something like, "How many axes do you want just like this one?" And we ought to allow the wizard user to choose a GUI. We will need a help system along side it. I'd be happy to help. Rayh On Sun, 18 Nov 2007 08:46:25 -0600, "Enhanced Machine Controller (EMC)" <[email protected]> said: >Thanks for your report.
