Thanks Dave all sounds good. I'm having some problems loading ladder programs properly so there are some problems yet. One thing to note is that the MODBUS in CL. would not be realtime so latency may be a problem when u have a realtime program running. You maybe able to replicate this by running EMC and the original Classicladder side by side and watch the response time. Have u down loaded EMC with CVS or are u using the standard method (cd or binary download)? Thank you for the info. I appreciate the encouragement -I'll try my best.
