I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "rapid overide". There is a feedrate override slider on TkEMC and Axis that affects BOTH cutting (G01) and non-cutting (G00) linear moves. G01 is at the programmed feedrate (F value) * the override. G00 is at the rate specified in the .ini setup file * the override.
The override is disabled during threading cycles. Does any of that help?
