I have done some work with serial Modbus. This is what little I have done so far: http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/EMC2/modbus/ I have sent preformed messages to a MODIO to set or clear pins. http://homanndesigns.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=4 My next task was to put my C file into HAL comp form so that I could set or clear pins via EMC. I have gotten busy with other things though. Chris Morley has been working with Classic Ladder and the Modbus component of Classic Ladder. I haven't heard of any news from his neck of the woods for a while. One of my VFD's uses Modbus which would allow me to control and monitor every aspect of the VFD in EMC. Maybe one day I'll get back to working on it. There was some talk a while back on real time Ethernet that would be nice too. -- Kirk Wallace (California, USA http://www.wallacecompany.com/machine_shop/ Hardinge HNC/EMC CNC lathe, Bridgeport mill conversion, doing XY now, Zubal lathe conversion pending Craftsman AA 109 restoration Shizuoka ST-N/EMC CNC) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
