In previous years we have placed a web cam above the arch looking into
the EMC2 area. Beyond this, we have not done a lot of topical
presentation on the web.

I won't presume to speak for other presenters. I move a around a lot
for an old guy. Don't think that a web cam is going to do folk much
good although I'm not at all opposed capturing my events. All of the
intellectual property that I'm going to present has been stolen/borrowed
from others anyway -- we call it open-source.

I also freely admit that there are some questions and answers for which
I lack the other half. (The answer is 42, 'scuse me, what was the
question again? "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy")

Another issue will be my use of the projector -- a lot. I presume that
we could "hire" someone with a bit of video production experience to
switch between the display and the lab and catch the essence of things.
If we use a stand alone video camera we could probably get one of the
developers to write us a capture and store program.

Wireless mikes would be good also.

I don't have a clue how Roland's link would stand up to streaming. We
might have to upload after the fact.

As for the size of the files, we had conversations between a couple of
the developers on line for quite a while. Mega files they were. Ask
about hosting.

To snip is hip!
