I recently picked up a couple of Emco PC-Turn 55 bench top lathes and while reading the manuals I came across an option that you can use to control the lathe that never occurred to me before. While I probably wont use one, someone may be interested in implementing it. Anyway they sell an overlay, that looks like a machine control panel which fits on a graphics tablet, like a Wacom or Suma Sketch. Point to the "button" with the pen that comes with the tablet to simulate a control panel. Not sure about the whole real time thing. Might be better than using a mouse
