I think I have found a problem with the sheetcamlibs package. Try
downloading and installing the sheetcamlibs package again.

If you still get the error, open a terminal and enter the following:
sudo dpkg --force-remove-reinstreq sheetcamlibs
You will probably have to enter your password.
Hopefully that should force dpkg to delete the package.>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hi Leslie,

Before you wrote this I tried to install the sheetcamlibs on Ubuntu 8.04 and
had the same problem as other people for which you posted this fix. However,
for a number of reasons, I didn't get around to trying to uninstall the broken
sheetcamlibs package until this afternoon and I find that the above fix doesn't
do the trick on my system. For some reason, when I do the above, I get an error
which says that 'remove-reinstreq isn't a recognised instruction' for --force .
I don't understand this as --force-help certainly lists it as a 'thing'. Since
I can't use the package manager because it insists that 'sheetcamlibs needs
reinstalling but can't find the archive' can you suggest any other course of
action please - did I miss a subsequent post maybe??? thanks..
