hostmot2 is still a work in progress, but i think it's ready for more widespread testing. I've added a very simple & incomplete sample config, it's in CVS (TRUNK and the 2.2 branch) but it's not in the released 2.2.5 package. It will be in 2.2.6 which is dues out real soon now.
