Hi Doug That is a pretty slow box for most any recent install. I don't even know if it would be bootable from a CD or if you'd have to update its bios. I believe that I'd hunt around used computer shops to find something faster than 600. Download and burn an EMC CD (6.06) before you go shopping and make the store folk let you test boot. That way you'll know if it's any good for the job. 256 memory is pretty much a must for cd boot. I've done it on less but it takes a while. Ray BTW I purchased some VIA C7 boxes that we used at Fest this year that were not much more than $240 all in. Contact me off list if you'd like a store link. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
