Hello, Well the "HOME_SEARCH_VEL" vs "HOME_SEARCH_VELOCITY" was the problem. Thanks for that. I have "homing" working, life is good.

The laptop I'm using is a "Dell Latitude C640". It's a pretty speedy machine, runs a bit hot though. I do get about two of these during the first 5 minutes of starting up emc2 though: "RTAPI ERROR: Unexpected realitime delay on task 1" After that I don't seem to get them anymore. Things seem to work fine. Before I got "homing" to work, I did have a 4-step (four separate files) g-code program running that drilled 8 holes, bored 3 large holes, and squared off the plate. I never actually made chips with it but I've run the program (with no cutting being done) on the mill using this laptop and it operated as advertised. Thanks again.
