I don't know if this will help, but go into the BIOS setup and make sure that "USB Legacy Support" is turned off. If that's not the actual wording in the USB options, then post what they have and I'll try to advise you. There are some motherboards that just aren't going to work. It's sad but true. One final possibility is to upgrade the BIOS to the latest revision. If you can identify the motherboard make and model, this is not too hard to do as most makers have BIOS updates available to download.
