Mini was originally written for use on Sherline machines, without home 
switches.  On that kind of machine, "homing" really means simply setting 
the current axis position to zero, without moving at all.  So the "Home 
All" button issues individual home commands on all three axes at the 
same time.

Right - that is because of they way Mini handles Home All.

If you want a specific homing sequence, yes.  At some point Mini _might_ 
be changed to do home-all using HOME_SEQUENCE, but I'm not holding my 
breath.  Mini was designed for one class of machines, and it's 
maintainer is not going to make changes that are unsuitable for those 
machines.
