Thanks for the reply. I am guessing that it is the same password I used when I put Linux On the computer. I did try my Ubuntu password and it did get past the password request graphic But not much further. I have other issues now with the installation of ECM2.

This password is used for normal login, "sudo" commands and root. There are no standard or predefined passwords that I am aware of.
