If you use hal_input (check the wiki page or man hal_input for necessary udev setup), then you should have access to pretty much everything on the device (as hal_bit inputs/outputs for buttons/lights, hal_s32 and/or hal_float for "analog" sticks).

(Unless it's the same as the Logitech everyone talks about, under a different name). It looks like this device may be like my Belkin Nostromo, in that it presents more than one input device (I see input5 and input0 listed in your dmesg dump) to the input subsystem.
