Hi Rob, all, I'm actually working on exactly this at the moment. The way I've decided to do it is to use a voltage frequency converter, in my case an LM311 chip. The basic idea will be to take the 0-10V monitoring output from my Yakasawa VFD, and generate a 0 to 1KHz pulse train which corresponds to the analogue input. This way I should be able to use a simple 'encoder' input in EMC2 to display a bargraph of spindle load on the screen. Eventually I want to be able to close loop the feed rate with the spindle load so that I can run efficient milling operations. The other part of the upgraded spindle would be a close loop between commanded spindle speed and actual speed, so if anyone has a config example for this, I'd love to see it!
