Aside from the toyl drool factor, I think that would be a good idea. It never hurts to see somebody else's setups while making your own. Even though the machines or the electronics or the motion hardware may not match up, I've gotten plenty of ideas from other folks sites. The machine I'm making will cut tapered bamboo triangle strips for making bamboo fly rods. Not a whole lot of them out there, but I get ideas for making something simpler, or better, by looking at all the different machines that are in progress, working, or whatever. The more pictures the better. I can read all day long on something, but when I see a picture of what was described, the "ah ah!" magic light bulb goes off in my mind. As to the ground vs rolled, I'd always heard the ground ones had better tolerances. That's why they were more expensive.
