Sasa, I have heard of this happening before. All that is required of the user is to adjust the voltage control knobs to the neutral or mid-point prior to cutting. This will keep it from wanting to 'dive'. My main background is from the router. Every time I put different material on the table to mill I always have to adjust the Z to its new zero point, etc. Having to do basically the same thing now with plasma with the voltage control knob I see as another user-process function.
Now, having said that... have I ever driven a bit down through my spoil/vacuum board before? YES - several times! But I sure don't do that any more. I've just learned that the z axis needs to be adjusted with differing materials and thicknesses. I have also heard Jim has had successful beta testing with the digital version of his THC. I don't know when it will be finished though I wouldn't think it will be all that much longer.
