Eric, Dewey, Alex, Thanks for the help, I have now been able to get emcrsh to work as it is supposed to. Everything is working as it should, I have also been able to access emcsh and check out the commands there also. I will now crawl back in the wood work and study more code as I progress down the user interface development task.
