Yes this is a known limitation. ACPI or APM interfere with real time so
it is not installed or is disabled for the EMC2/Ubuntu distribution. It
sure would be handy to have an auto power off, but I don't think it's in
the cards right now. It may be worth while to setup the soft-switch to
power off or wire an old fashioned power switch to a handy location.
