Those are grim times... I helped dissolve a shop here in NJ and every single machine a tad larger than a machine of interest for a hobbyist went for the scrap metal price. Large machines only 5 years old were flying into the trash. A large precision lathe made in Germany... tight and flawless... went for $800..... The low offerings might be what is normal right now...
