Not sure Erik.  What I've used here is the normal 'cutting oil' the pipe 
threaders use by the quart or gallon.  Yes, if cutting fine cuts, it will 
sludge up,so I flush it by dribbling some more down the running bit. but the 
part finish seems to be ok.  Heavier cuts, where the chips are say a .010" or 
more cross section, don't seem to suffer as badly.

My machine is an elcheapo, no wipers.  Sawdust when doing wood seems to be a 
much larger problem as that glues itself to the way oils and really binds 
things up.  I've had to run the tables clear off and clean things up several 
times.
