Looking at an example config that comes on the LiveCD the Stepper-Gantry config. There is a Hal component loaded called "gantrykins". I cannot see how it is loaded in the config. I have another config I did with StepConf for my lathe and gantrykins is not loaded - it can't be seen in the Machine-Show Hal configuration. Any ideas? I've looked through the ini file and all of the other files. How is gantry kins loaded? Is "gantrykins" part of another module?
"gantrykins" is used to assign the joints to the axes in another hal file that is loaded by the INI file. I did a web search and found some mention of the C source code on Jeff Eplers website. ( The Meat One :-) ) I'm trying to figure this all out so I can "wire" up some things with Hal but this one has me stumped.
