Hello to all the Linux savvy users out there:

I have been using ubuntu for about two years now and have been updating my
computer with the newest versions of the file systems and releases as they
come out. For the last few weeks I have been on the new 9.10 Ubuntu.

Since I wanted to use EMC2 to run my Sherline CNC, I downloaded the LTS rtai
CD from Linuxcnc.org and burned it to a disk. I set aside a 8GB partition
for LTS rtai and rebooted. When installation completed I rebooted again and
pressed esc to enter grub and to my horror my 140GB of Karmic is GONE from
grub. When I checked "Places" I found my karmic partition but LTS is unable
to read it because it is in ext4.

Does anyone know how to:

1) upgrade LTS grub to see EXT4
2) teach LTS rtai to see EXT4
3) change the mbr to point to the more advanced grub on my 9.10 partition
4) update drivers to get LTS rtai to see my wireless card without using the
internet. (I share my next door neighbors internet through WPA2)

I really appreciate any help. I really do need to be able to get to my 140
GB of data.

Matt
