Hi Flo

i have used Solidcam in the past its posts files that it uses are in
plain txt form, so one can edit them with out any special license or
software i presuming here it is still like this
if you know what you are doing or are willing to spend a few days
playing around with it its no problem to take a fanuc post and mod it up
abit. as i find a generic fanuc post for emc will give u a very good
starting base to go from.

for 5 axis im not sure as i only ever played with 3 axis post files.
some times when you buy the software you get a lot of free generic posts
thrown in
Camworks comes with a lot which i use and integrates like solidcam into
solidworks
its worth talking to the rep about it if ur not sure. see what you
really are getting, dont forget with Cam will you need Lathe later on? i
find alot are good on milling lathe is a unknown machine to most...

EDIT: a quick search just found this
