Hm. These are going to be determined by linux when it loads parport_pc. If you load parport_pc before running any of your manipulation programs and it shows PCSPP,TRISTATE that implies to me that the linux kernel parport driver (which embodies a lot more wisdom than the drivers in emc2) thinks the port is not EPP capable.
