hi I have used some a few month ago, before I buy a complete (big) stepper kit from china. Worked well with some stepper from old floppy disk drives. Unfortunately these steppers where too small for my machine. As it is mentionned in the website, the main problem seems to keep the transistors as cold as possible. I got a BIG radiator from and old GSM relay, I never experienced problems with that. I controlled the drives directly with the // port, it use common step/dir signals. And with some additional outputs pin and a bit of thinking, may be possible to switch microstepping mode directly from the pc, for example using some classic ladder programing, as linistepper drivers use two line for selecting the mode. I didn't tried this. I plan to switch back to the linistepper drivers for use with my big chinese motors, as I will need microstepping, and the chinese drivers dont offer it. yann ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
