Hi Andy, thank's for the links. I will dig into the literature and I'm sure to find a solution. I'just couldn't find the right places to look.
Of course you are right with your note about the "Emergency Stop". I din't consider that it should function that way. This means for me to extend the interface I built to satisfy this point. Well, french was the subject I hated most at school. Though English is still easier to handle for me ;-) Regards Peter -----Original Message----- From: Andy Pugh [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Montag, 15. Normally an "Emergency Stop" should be independent of the software and should kill the machine dead in all possible scenarios. However, in the case of a hot-wire foam cutter I guess that the button is more of a "Oops! it is ruining the job" button and software control is acceptable. Have you found the HAL component called "estop-latch"? http://www.linuxcnc.org/docview/html//man/man9/estop_latch.9.html If you haven't already added it, you will probably need a reference halui added to your .ini file to give you access to the buttons you wish to control. http://www.linuxcnc.org/docview/html//man/man1/halui.1.html If this is all confusing to you, then you probably need to read the HAL manual: All the documentation is available (much of it in French if that is any better for you) at http://www.linuxcnc.org/docview/html/ -- atp ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
