Hi Rian, I have the same graphics card and freezing problem as you have It seems that EMC2 and ATI Rage card just don't work together. I have replaced my ATI card with an Nvidia Riva TNT2 card (from an old computer) and EMC2 is now working. At least it is something for you to think about. Best of luck John Dunn
