Seems like You need some mobile setup.
I think that You might want to get a laptop charger with 12 or,
better, 24 VDC input and get some engine (could be some pretty small
unit) and attach 24 V generator (or 2*12V generators, if laptop
charger has 12VDC input). I assume that 24 VDC is minimum voltage
requirement for Your stepper driver. If it can run on 12 VDC, then
even better.
