Hmmm, well, as far as I know, I have never seen EMC do that.  If you are 
running a "stable
release" of EMC there, then I might run a memtst86 for an hour on the 
computer first.
If this uses any radius compensation, check the tool table for any 
strange entries.

Has it continued to run good parts after this incident (or have you run 
some air cuts)?

That would only be a scenario if it left a straight chord on the circle, 
but skipping the whole
circle seems to be an entirely different problem.

Is this arc move a 360 degree turn?  I have always been in the habit of 
NOT programming those,
mostly because it was verboten on older controls.
