Sodipodi is the first/original name of the program currently known as Inkscape.

If Loren is creating his patterns from scratch, it'll work to just use
Inkscape and its G-code output converter; if the artwork is scanned
from paper,  autotrace and/or inkscape's bitmap converter will be
needed.
