This looks like a quite reasonably priced item if there is a power budget 
to be met, however its same priced twin has a 10/100 interface, where this 
one is only 10 megabit, and its twin also has a header that you could use 
for a breakout to control a 4 relay board, an extra 16.50 for that.  I 
wouldn't expect the sort of real time emc is, but such things as coolant 
and ATC & pallet changing related stuff should be quite doable.  I think 
the problem would be in getting emc to talk to it.  And I've no clue how 
difficult that might be...
