If you look at the last two pictures of this boring head: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260744447389
Wohlhaupter call it a differential screw. I assume this means that it has two different thread pitches, though it could mean that there are LH and RH sections. In either case it seems like a very compact way to join things, with no need for a bolt head seat. In fact, it can be assembled from "below" so you actually only need a big enough bore for the hex key in the top section. I will certainly be keeping it in mind for future situations where space is very tight. -- atp "Torque wrenches are for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Colocation vs. Managed Hosting A question and answer guide to determining the best fit for your organization - today and in the future. http://p.sf.net/sfu/internap-sfd2d _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
