I use one of those dremel diamond disks for that, with a very gentle touch, usually applied by the mill. I lay it on the face, not on the edge, and brighten up the first 1/8" of the face back of the cutting edge. That seems to work well, and chips and sawdust go drifting off in the air currents, without any burn marks even in cherry unless I really slow the mill's feed rate down. Cherry has enough resin in it that the bit will gum up in 10 minutes cutting, so then it burns till you clean it. Here in the hills & hollers of WV, finding someone expert enough can be frustrating, so I have been forced to become my own expert, but he's a dummy at times too. ;-) Posted back to the mailing list, Jack, where it was filtered to by the subject line. -- Cheers, Gene "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
