Many typical CNC lathes are much less flexible than a typical manual 
lathe.  Mostly, they are made to do short
parts.  Usually they do have a lot of features like bar pullers and gang 
tools or tool turrets, and part catchers, but
may have trouble doing some of the things that your current lathe can do 
easily, like a long shaft.

Anything over 20 Hp will certainly be too massive for your shop, and 
likely expensive, too.

So, just evaluate the capabilities of any machine carefully.  Also, 
plenty of CNC production machines will be totally worn out when the go 
on the market.
