Once I changed the rtai.conf to turn off SMI, I'm getting pretty nice jitter numbers (< 15uS) while running "stress".
Out of curiosity, what driver hardware are you using with yours? Apparently some laptops only output 3.3V on the parallel port instead of the 5V many drivers require...
