Thanks for the additional suggestions. I've looked at openscad before, but not 
being a programmer I would have no clue what I was doing, and I'm afraid the 
learning curve on it would be a hindrance in my work. I downloaded BRLcad to 
try and install but I think I'm running out of space on the linux partition. I 
hadn't used it in a while for anything other than EMC and that was on a 
different machine, so when I did the install on my windows laptop I didn't 
allocate much space for it since I wasn't sure I'd do much more than just a 
little bit of messing around.
