And yet another program I can't build on pclos, its dependencies are not in 
the pclos repo.

I have centos-6.2's dvd images, in 64 bit, on disk & seeding the torrents.  
I think, despite being relatively happy with its stability, that I will 
bail out when and if a new dvd writer arrives, mine died last week.
