It would be hard to hide what you are doing, but it seems to me that
linuxCNC in a box with a windows front end would work better than most
of these systems where they have off-loaded the processor.  There was
a time (when the P4 first got big) when I was starting to think that
the PC industry was screwing up the architecture so badly that it was
going to be a problem going forward.  That time seems to have past.
After watching the development of Mach and EMC over the years, I don't
think I would have the endurance to take that and make it proprietary.
 The work is never-ending.
