the latest CD we have on linuxcnc.org :

it is also available on my EU mirror: 
http://dsplabs.upt.ro/~juve/emc/get.php?file=ubuntu-10.04-linuxcnc2-i386.iso 
(maybe that works faster for some people)

it includes:
- Ubuntu 10.04 (incl. latest updates)
- LinuxCNC 2.5.0

(note the linuxcnc2 in the name, the linuxcnc1 contains LinuxCNC 2.4.x).
